Refund Policy

Effective and last updated: October 26, 2026.

This page explains the current Terms of Service, section 12. It is not a new refund guarantee or a change to those Terms.

1. Subscription charges and refund exceptions

Monthly and annual GlacialBooks subscription fees are nonrefundable except where law requires, for a confirmed duplicate charge, or for a confirmed billing error. A request is reviewed against those exceptions and does not automatically qualify for a refund.

2. Cancellation and refunds are different

Canceling renewal through Manage Billing after billing begins takes effect at the end of the paid period, with paid features available until then. Canceling during the trial prevents the first charge. Stopping renewal does not automatically issue a refund for previous payments or unused paid time.

3. Switching to Starter immediately

Choosing Switch to Starter now is a separate, explicitly confirmed operation: paid features end immediately and the recurring subscription is canceled after workspace capacity is checked. Starter remains free, and your bookkeeping records are not deleted. This operation does not automatically issue a refund or replace the refund exceptions above. To keep paid access through the paid period instead, stop renewal through Manage Billing.

4. Discounts and consumer rights

Discounts and promotional offers do not remove these refund exceptions or any consumer rights that cannot be waived. Those rights remain in effect for discounted purchases as well as regular subscriptions.

5. Request a billing review

Contact support in GlacialBooks or email [email protected]. Include your account email, workspace, charge date, and invoice reference where available. Never send card details. Making a request does not cancel your subscription; use Manage Billing to stop renewal.

6. Customer invoice payments

This policy covers GlacialBooks subscription charges, not clients paying customer invoices through GlacialBooks. For a payment to a business using GlacialBooks, contact that business about its refund terms.
